Historical Vehicles
In order for a vehicle to be classified as historical and to benefit from the advantages of historical registration (exemptions, insurance, taxes …) it is necessary that it meet one of these requirements.
Have a minimum age of 30 years counted from the date of manufacture.
It is included in the General Inventory of Movable Property of the Spanish Historical Heritage or has been declared as a cultural interest or magazine of special interest for having belonged to a relevant personality or intervened in an event of historical significance.
Be a vehicle of collection, understood as such that, by its characteristics, uniqueness, manifest scarcity or other special circumstance very outstanding, deserve to benefit from the regime of historical vehicles.
In addition, its constituent parts must have been manufactured in the normal production period, with the exception of fungible elements replaced by reproductions. Reforms will only be accepted if they are made at the time, they have the appropriate antiquity and they were also typical and usual at that time.
Elkan is authorized by an official laboratory to inspect the vehicles that opt for cataloging history and provides all the documents required by RD 1247/1995 for its cataloging.
